To further enhance community safety, we proudly support “Project L-Homecoming 2.0″ [「友里蹤跡社區計劃」（新界南總區行動部-搜護盾計劃）], organized by the Hong Kong Police Force New Territories South Region (Police NTS), the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), and several NGOs. This project utilizes innovative tools such as the “Caring Communities for MIP Campaign” APP (「友里蹤跡」), the “Angel Box” Bluetooth positioning device (「天使盒子」), and an ibeacon device (「守護蹤」) to create a robust safeguard network.
After months of diligent discussions and site assessments, we are excited to announce that three properties under Urban’s management—Wan Fau Sin Koon (Lau Fau Shan), City One Shatin, and Ka Tin Court (Tai Wai)—are the pioneers in this initiative, confirming the installation of these devices with significant support from property owner representatives.
To commemorate this meaningful collaboration, an agreement signing ceremony between Urban and HKUST was held at Urban’s Head Office on 3 October 2024, attended by representatives from Police NTS, HKUST, Wan Fau Sin Koon, and Urban’s senior management.
Dr. Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group stated, “We are thrilled to announce our collaboration with HKUST and Police NTS. This project leverages Urban’s extensive property management network and advanced technology to safeguard the elderly and high-risk missing persons while fostering community engagement.
